Rowley launched AriA™ H-Rail expanding the current AriA product line to include metal traverse solutions and accessories.


Rowley Company | History 2013 Home Decor International

2013

Extending its home décor and window coverings presence, Rowley acquired Article, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of decorative drapery hardware (DDH). The business continues to grow under the banner of Home Décor International.

Rowley invested in personnel adding new talent to Marketing, Sales and Research & Development to help support growing business initiatives and ensure continued innovation in quality products.


Rowley Company | History 2012 e-commerce site added

Rowley redesigned and launched a new e-commerce website, making it easier for customers to conveniently shop the over 15,000 products that Rowley offers for workrooms, designers, installers, and upholsterers.


 Rowley Company | History 2011 AriA Metal Decorative Hardware

2011

Expanding the Decorative Drapery Hardware offering, Rowley designed and developed a full line of metal decorative drapery hardware under the AriA™ brand.

 Rowley Company | History 2014 DIY JoAnn Fabircs

Rowley extended the Rowley brand directly to the home décor channel by launching a line of DIY products at JoAnn Fabrics stores, and further positioned the brand to the DIY market with the online launch of Rowley DIY.


 Rowley Company | History 2010 Las Vegas warehouse opens

2010 To better serve West Coast customers, a warehouse facility was opened in Las Vegas, NV and later moved as business grew to an even larger facility in 2012.

As a commitment to customer education, Rowley started offering free online, live and recorded webinars to inform and educate customers, as well as increased development of other online educational how-to guides and tips & tricks.


 Rowley Company | History 2009 Rowley acquires Finestra Wood Decorative Hardware

Rowley acquired custom decorative drapery hardware manufacturer Resin Solutions, Inc., and then launched Finestra® Decorative Hardware, an elegant line of handcrafted custom drapery hardware.

In an effort to make doing business with Rowley easier and a better experience for customers, investments were made in new operating systems to improve efficiencies in the customer service call center, warehouse and order packaging.


 Rowley Company | History 2008 RH Rowley retires and sells to private investors

In 2008, RH was ready to retire and sold the company to a group of private investors. The investors integrated a business strategy blending the core values and legacy of the Rowley Company with their new efforts. They leveraged the company’s value proposition into new product lines and new channels of business - while staying true to the foundation that made the company so successful.

The company expanded into its sixth warehouse to accommodate the increasing needs of the business and rapid growth.

The company’s product line continued to expand from several dozen unique items to over 10,000 items to aid workrooms, designers, installers, and upholsterers in exceeding their customer’s expectations.


 Rowley Company | History 1984 RH moved to Gastonia, NC and incoporated the Rowley Company

1984

In an effort to find a more central location and better business environment, RH moved to Gastonia, NC and incorporated The Rowley Company. The Rowley Company offices are still located in the original warehouse space.


 Rowley Company | History 1982 release of the T-Handle

1982

The company's national growth began with RH's solution to casement window cranks that prohibited blinds and draperies from hanging correctly, the T-handle. The phenomenal customer reaction to this product line, and several other unique problem-solvers, was the genesis of a national company.


 Rowley Company | History 1970 Rowleys sold Atlanta company and returned to New England

1970

The Rowleys sold the Atlanta company and returned to New England to be closer to family. Here they recognized the lack of drapery supply wholesalers and began supplying drapery and installation products to trade professionals in the region.


 Rowley Company | History 1962 Rowleys purchased small drapery workroom

1962

Seeking a bustling business environment, RH Rowley and his wife Vaughn (the founders of Rowley Company), moved to Atlanta and purchased The House of Draperies, a small drapery workroom and installation business. RH quickly grew the business to 11 workroom tables.
