Rowley Company is proud of our 50-plus years of service to the window coverings industry. As we’ve grown and evolved since 1962, we’ve remained true to our original focus of providing excellent customer service and delivering an experience that exceeds your expectations.

Rowley provides a customer experience unlike anyone else by offering a large selection of competitively-priced, innovative products that are in-stock and available for same day shipping, building custom solutions for shades and traversing draperies, and providing expert technical support and training. We are here to equip you with products and solutions to make your jobs efficient and profitable.


As we enter 2013 and look to the future, we renew and strengthen our commitment to you, our customer! Our focus remains on providing the best customer experience in the industry. Founded as a result of solving workroom and installation challenges, Rowley Company has grown from a regional New England business to a thriving international distributor and wholesaler.

RH Rowley, seeking a bustling business environment, moved to Atlanta in 1962. He quickly bought a small drapery workroom and installation business, and by the early 1970's, had grown the business to 11 workroom tables.

Moving back to Cape Cod to be closer to family, the Rowley's began installing draperies and selling decorative hardware for those jobs. After nearly a decade, the Rowley's recognized a lack of drapery supply wholesalers in the Cape area and began supplying drapery and installation products to the region.

The national growth began with RH's solution to casement window cranks that prohibited blinds and draperies from hanging correctly: the T-handle. The phenomenal customer reaction to this product line, and several other unique problem-solvers, was the genesis of a national company.

In an effort to find a more central location and a better climate (both business and weather), the Rowley's moved the company to Gastonia, North Carolina in 1984. Rowley Company's offices are now in the original warehouse.

Since 1982, Rowley Company's product line has expanded from several dozen unique items to over 15,000 items to aid workrooms, designers, installers, upholsterers, fabricators and commercial supply businesses in exceeding their customers' expectations. Our operations have expanded from one warehouse to six, to accommodate the increasing needs of today's business environment. New management is in place to take the company to the next level.

Rowley Company still has second generation leaders and stakeholders, continuing the family tradition of solving customer problems and providing excellent customer service. Our 500 years of industry experience is encompassed in this family leadership and our staff of over 70 employees -- all of whom carry on the passion instilled by RH Rowley.

Over the last 50 years, a lot of things have changed at Rowley Company, but one thing has remained: our customer focus.
