Position: Graphic Designer

Details: Full-Time / Gastonia, North Carolina 

Rowley is seeking a talented Graphic Designer with experience balancing forward-thinking creativity and project management skills to join our team. You love design and have an obsessive attention to detail with a strong eye for composition, typography, color, layout and photography. You are comfortable with concepting designs, have a strong work ethic, and take ownership of your work. You can work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and ensure that deadlines are met to project specifications, on time and on cost.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with team members, marketing management and outside agencies to develop, refine and execute a variety of engaging print and digital marketing materials.
  • Design and produce printed marketing materials, including story boards, brochures, catalogs, ads, pricing sheets, trade show graphics and more.
  • Translate customer brand guidelines into engaging packaging designs and recommend new designs based on current color, pattern and packaging trends at retail.
  • Review soft and final production proofs for errors to ensure that final prints reflect project specifications.
  • Design and implement digital marketing elements, including web banners, emails, landing pages, online catalogs, digital ads, and more.
  • Support ecommerce site needs, including updating inspiration galleries, banners, product images, and more.
  • Ensure projects are aligning to strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Manage, organize, and archive all creative assets.
  • Order and inspect product samples for photo shoots.
  • Attend photo shoots to ensure brand alignment across marketing assets.
  • Stay on top of marketplace and design trends.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design.
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute design initiatives from concept through completion.
  • Excellent understanding of color and optimization for both print and web.​
  • Must be goal-oriented, flexible, and creative under pressure and willing to learn new systems.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and be open to receiving feedback for improvement.
  • Must have a portfolio that reflects a clean, refined, fresh design style.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in HTML and CSS.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, ex: Magento Enterprise 2.x
  • Experience working in marketing automation platforms, ex: Adobe Marketo Engage.
  • General familiarity with web, video, and multimedia tools.
  • Experience with cross-media publishing systems, ex: Dynamic Media Classic (formerly Scene7).
  • Experience with packaging design and managing approvals through the manufacturing process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent.
  • Aptitude for photography.
