Position: Marketing Communications Manager

Details: Full-Time / Gastonia, North Carolina

The Marketing Communications Manager leads marketing in executing a comprehensive and integrated marketing communication plan to increase market awareness, drive demand generation and lead development through all channels. The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful history in a marketing role, combining classic and digital marketing experience, in managing programs that reach new customers / channels, expand customer retention, and grow revenue within the existing customer base.

As the Marketing Communications Manager, you will support the business executing on the following strategic pillars of the marketing department:

  1. Maintain and develop brand identity and roadmap for all brands in the Rowley portfolio through targeted branding initiatives.
  2. Drive brand awareness, salience and market penetration across all brands.
  3. Support new product development launches and commercialization plans.
  4. Drive new customer acquisition with targeted lead generation initiatives.
  5. Trade show and event management.

The ideal candidate has:

  1. A passion for content marketing & writing.
  2. Understands and is very well versed in classic and digital marketing platforms.
  3. A passion for home décor and interior design.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new communication opportunities, how to maximize existing opportunities and determine appropriate channels for maximum results.
  • Create and execute demand generation programs and integrated marketing campaigns for Rowley’s family of brands utilizing a variety of techniques including email, webinars, blog posts, social media initiatives, and digital/inbound marketing programs.
  • Write and produce thought leadership content to grow our audience, leads, and contacts by converting channel traffic from email campaigns, social media, trade shows, and training events.
  • Design landing pages, email templates and other marketing collateral in collaboration with the graphic design team.
  • Manage our social media channels, creating content and managing/building organic relationships across all social channels.
  • Own strategy and management of all tradeshows and other company events from budget, planning, lead conversion, and setup / breakdown.
  • Manage industry partnerships including trade show vendors, media and membership associations.
  • Act as the marketing point-of-contact for the call center and sales team, providing ongoing visibility into marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team in developing channel specific communications to achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Work closely with product development teams to effectively launch new products with comprehensive marketing communication campaigns and materials.
  • Deliver on current project plans, but also explore what could be and should be added to our strategy through ongoing research and continued professional development on marketing trends and practices.
  • Measure and report marketing performance against established goals.
  • Up to 20% travel.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience in building and executing marketing plans and programs utilizing email, webinars, digital/inbound marketing, social media and tradeshow events.
  • Ability to devise new and innovative communication methods and assets to articulate Rowley’s messages and value propositions.
  • Ability to be innovative with respect to program creation and problem resolution, and process-oriented with respect to marketing operations and execution workflows.
  • Knowledge of marketing processes and e-marketing systems; experience with lead scoring and nurturing methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously.
  • Team player with the ability inspire and motivate across functions and levels of the organization.

Education/Training/Experience Required:

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of content marketing experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in copywriting.
  • Experience with idea generation for a variety of content forms.
  • Working knowledge of SEO optimization and audience engagement.
  • Experience with an A/B testing platform.
  • Proficient in developing, implementing, and executing marketing strategies.
  • Strong current knowledge of digital marketing and the ability to apply concepts.
  • Proficient in identifying and applying meaningful metrics.
  • Proficient in sales and marketing automation tools (Marketo preferred).
  • Proficient in social media channels, engagement, and analytics
  • Knowledge of home décor industry and window treatments a plus.
